So, you are interested in purchasing Teamforce Laser Tag equipment, but are unsure of what the items are and what they do? This article will help you better understand each item and its relationship to the other components within the packages available. To understand how the LTE technology works, click here<\/strong>, suffice to say it works on the same basis as your TV remote control (Infra-Red Signals) and in fact no lasers are involved at all!<\/u><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

A very basic package will allow Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (CFAV\u2019s)<\/u><\/strong> to run a Laser tag session and engage and train Cadets as per the Cadet syllabus, from individual up to Platoon level. For example, patrolling, marksmanship skills, reactions to enemy fire and so on.<\/p>\n

The beauty of the LTE is it can be set up and used in no time at all,<\/u><\/strong> with no CFAV headaches over safety<\/u><\/strong>, logistics, security, or other issues related to Cadet GP weapons. Cadet Training Teams<\/u><\/strong><\/a> (CTT\u2019s) have already successfully used the Teamforce LTE at the Cadet Cambrian Patrol<\/u><\/strong>. No projectile means no problems!<\/p>\n

For this LTE breakdown we will look at an example LTE package and explain each item.<\/p>\n

Advanced Charlie Pack (ACP)<\/strong><\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. AK-15 (Warrior).<\/strong> This is the Tagger (gun)<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    It is fitted in the muzzle area with an optical system known as \u201cParallax\u201d which will allow the individual to hit a target up to 350m away. Each Tagger is fitted with an optical system that suits that weapon systems actual functionality, for example a sub machine gun should not be able to hit a target the same distance away as a sniper rifle!<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

    This Tagger has a realistic reload function<\/u><\/strong> via a cocking handle, and the reload time can be adjusted to as close as possible resemble how long it takes to reload in real time. Also integrated to this and many other Taggers are OLED screens and feedback. The OLED screen allows Cadets to monitor health status and ammo status (like online gaming<\/u><\/strong>) during an exercise. This gives the cadets a better understanding of how many times they have been hit by an opponent, plus if and when they may need to conserve ammo until they can get a resupply.<\/p>\n

    Tagger feedback mimics that jolt you feel when firing, although not as severe as the real thing it does however give that added touch of realism to cadet training<\/u><\/strong>. All parameters and settings for the tagger can be adjusted through the Laser Tag software<\/u><\/strong> which is free to use and is updated regularly. If as part of the training mission scenario<\/u><\/strong> you want to set up an enemy force, be that the Cadets or Staff, acting as an enemy sniper, then the lethality of the Tagger can be adjusted to a one shot, one elimination function using the software, rather than requiring multiple hits to eliminate an opponent.     \u00a0<\/strong>2. RGB Headband.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

    This speaks for itself and has to accompany the tagger, this item has four small domes with LED\u2019s and IR sensors complete with vibrate motors. \"\"<\/a> This means the Headband will vibrate and flash to indicate a hit or other function. The headband communicates with the tagger via Bluetooth<\/u><\/strong>, then in turn the tagger transmits to the PC via Wi-Fi, updating hits, kills, deaths, injuries, accuracy and much more. Battle Vests are also available that function in the same way as the headband are also available.The LED\u2019s can be set and adjusted through the software from anything like glowing or flash when hit, and on being hit will vibrate depending on which sensor has taken that hit to alert the individual to the direction of the shot fired. This is clever kit that the Cadets will love<\/u><\/strong> and be asking to use and play with over and over again.<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Medic Kit.<\/strong> (Team Medic)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Very small (Smart phone sized) box which can be issued to the Team Medic<\/u>, <\/strong>perhaps as part of a first aid or teambuilding scenario.<\/u><\/strong> \"\"<\/a>This will on the push of a button administer first aid to an individual that has been hit and for example is \u2018bleeding out,\u2019 if this option has been set up within the software.<\/p>\n

      Why not add in first aid training to the mission where the cadet must apply the correct first aid to be authorised by the DS to use the Medic Kit? Again all settings are adjustable through the software via a Bluetooth base. Cadets will be familiar with this feature from their online gaming<\/u><\/strong> play using games such as Call of Duty amongst others.<\/p>\n

       <\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Basic Ammo Kit.<\/strong>Does exactly what it says on the tin. Replenishes full ammo back up to the Taggers pre-set ammo count. \"\"<\/a> These can be placed strategically for added realism in the training and mission scenario at the discretion of the DS.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        \u00a05. <\/strong>Smart Remote .<\/strong><\/p>\n

        Just a little bulkier than a smart phone, the Smart Remote Pro allows DS to perform different functions like, pause, start, end, adjust settings to Taggers and so on. This is a very handy addition to the package as it allows you to manage the training and game play on the fly<\/u><\/strong> and not have to be right in front of the PC.<\/p>\n

        6. <\/strong>Xgen Router Pro.<\/strong> (X generation or 10th<\/sup> Generation)<\/strong><\/p>\n

        The communication between the LTE software and the gaming equipment is via Wi-Fi, so this is an essential item if you wish to collate scores<\/u><\/strong>, although the LTE can still be used without this. This bit of equipment is able to handle a massive amount of data from over 150 gaming items<\/u><\/strong> at any one time, with speeds up to 300 MBPS. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

        The router and software create a closed local wifi hotspot, to communicate and transmit over 2.4 GHz channels, up to a distance of 200m radius and was successfully used at the Cadet Cambrian Patrol<\/strong>.<\/a> This can be extended if required with the use of Wi-Fi extenders.<\/p>\n

        7. (Router power source)<\/strong><\/p>\n

        Sometimes there is the need to use the equipment in a remote location without a power source which has its pros and cons. One of which is the need to have a remote power source for the router. Obviously, the Taggers, Headbands, Devices and Laptops have their own batteries<\/u><\/strong>, however the router will require one too. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

        This item as it suggests stores power to be used later and with an adaptor, will supply power for roughly 8 hrs of use with the router. Larger powerbanks can be purchased which will extend the duration, but will however take longer to charge, so probably best to purchase two or three if you require over 8 hrs of use without access to mains power.<\/p>\n

        \u00a08. <\/strong>Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n

        Cadets will love to use the LTE, whether that is just for fun<\/u><\/strong> on a CCF\/ACF training session or as part of the unit annual training programme<\/u><\/strong> throughout the year. How many times have you as a CFAV been prepping for the next Cadet parade night or session and been thinking, \u201cwhat can we do with the Cadets?\u201d<\/u><\/strong><\/a> The LTE can of course be used in any suitable space<\/u><\/strong> that you have available, whether that is indoor or outdoors.<\/p>\n

        The Teamforce LTE allows CFAV\u2019s and CTT\u2019s to use their imagination when creating the unit training programme as well as fun engaging activities for cadets, including during Cadet Summer Camps and weekends<\/u><\/strong>.<\/a> Perhaps one of the main selling points of the LTE is the ease of use of the kit, and the lack of hassle when considering the safety and other issues associated with Cadet GP weapons compared to using the Teamforce Laser Tag Equipment.<\/p>\n
