About Simon Adams (Founder & Managing Director)

Simon hails from Swansea in South Wales and straight from school achieved his ambition and successfully joined the British Army, going onto to serve for almost 24 years in a wide variety of job roles, completing numerous operational tours of duty across the world. Following the Army Simon then went into the Security Industry as an area manager, but quickly researched and discovered that there was an opportunity for an activity centre in Swansea to cater for the growing tourism and corporate market in the area.

Simon went onto establish Teamforce in 2005 and a new purpose-built outdoor activity centre in Swansea started trading in early 2006. The business quickly gained a reputation for quality activity provision, as was evidenced by repeated business from local schools, colleges and businesses.

Further to Simon’s experience of working with local colleges whilst in the Army, he was asked to help out lecturing with a local college and this eventually led to Simon becoming a college lecturer whilst also managing Teamforce.

Teamforce was always looking to diversify and then started to examine the possibility of adding laser tag gaming to the portfolio of activities already offered. There was clearly a market for new activities at Teamforce to complement the provision of paintball, archery, air rifle and teambuilding activities etc, so Simon began researching this further. In collaboration with the existing staff and Activity Centre Manager, Steve Sabido, it was decided to introduce Laser Tag Gaming at the activity centre, with all of the team investing their time, energy and focus into launching Laser Tag with great success.

Following many years of successfully providing Laser Tag Gaming at Teamforce, as well as mobile laser tag, and after numerous requests from businesses across the UK to help with the supply of Laser Tag equipment or just advice, Simon made the decision to branch out into commercial laser tag equipment sales, training, and service support. In no time at all Teamforce were approved and appointed by Bourne Leisure (they own Butlins, Haven and Warner Resorts) to be their one and only official laser tag gaming equipment supplier. Simon brought his knowledge of starting new business activities financial streams to full effect and coupled with the teams expertise with all thing’s laser tag, more customers across the UK & Ireland started to purchase equipment from Teamforce.

In his role as a college lecturer Simon was approached about the possibility of establishing a Combined Cadet Force (CCF) in the college he worked at and to cut a long story short this duly became a reality after a busy year of preparatory work. Simon now spreads his time between his lecturer role, being the Contingent Commander of the college CCF and being Managing Director of Teamforce.

In his spare time Simon is a voracious reader of all types of books, annoys his wife with his love of music, in particular opera, classical and anything with a pleasant melody. He is a keen cyclist, kayaker and enjoys most outdoor activities.
